Clutch Attends The NYC Gala Awards 2017

PORTLAND, OREGON. This past July, our national organization held a black-tie gala event in New York City. All of the business partners within the organization and the top staff of their companies were invited to celebrate their accomplishments.

Clutch’s Managing Director, Michael Janac, HR Executives, Junior Executives, and many Account Managers participated in the gala and brought back many valuable lessons. Two of the most important aspects they’ve gained are international networking skills and the ability to inspire others.

International Network

Adriana Aguilar, one of our Account Managers, had a blast networking during the Gala. “Being able to meet people from all over the world was a good opportunity to learn about how businesses operate in other places.” As the organization has offices in South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia, our team was able to learn cross-cultural communication skills in how to run a business internationally.

As the world becoming more globalized, we understand how important it is to be connected with others in different countries. Although nowadays we have access to explore international businesses from the internet, magazines, and books, learning from the locals is still very effective. There is a view of culture that only can be explained by building a personal relationship with the locals.

Inspirational

Besides having an awesome time learning about other countries, we were also inspired by many people within the organization. Faith Taylor, another Account Manager of ours, believes that the experience has inspired her to succeed in the business. She exclaims, “the system felt more real. We met all the successful people who went through the same processes and did what we are doing today.” Taylor believes that it is important to meet all the business owners, consultants, and everyone else in-person to create more effective relationships.

“It was awesome to see the first female vice-president promotion. We were able to hear her speak about the standards that she placed upon herself.” Taylor was amazed that National Consultant’s get to manage people at work whilst balancing their personal life at the same time. “She is just a person of a character” Taylor added. By hearing powerful people sharing their stories, Taylor realized the importance of setting personal standards to succeed and inspire.

Clutch always values our team’s personal motivations. We believe that by acknowledging their important aspects of life, we can help them to reach their dreams. By celebrating their hard work in events like Gala, we are able to keep their enthusiasm going.
